This blog is going to discuss the four different regions, some of their cultures, languages and population. The United Kingdom is comprises of four different regions. These include:
- England
- Wales
- Scotland
- Northern Ireland
ENGLAND

England is the biggest of the four regions in the UK. England consists of hundreds of smaller islands. With a population over 7 million, London is the said to be the largest city in England. It's also known as the third largest city in Europe (World Population Review,2013). Birmingham in England is the holder of the largest arts festival called art-fest. People come around to display talents such as classical music ,traditional songs and stand-up comedy(England art and culture,2013).
SCOTLAND

In the united kingdom Scotland occupies the northern third of Great Britain. It consists of over 700 small islands and lies around several different seas. With a population of over 5 million Scotland is still highlighted on the friendliness of its people, or is it culture that makes Scotland such a wonderful place ,from the bagpipes to the haggis and the kilts or the astonishing festivals,Scotland stands its ground as an amazing region in the UK(Scottish culture and tradition 2013) .
WALES
Wales is found at the west of England and has a population of over 3 million. Wales has a lot of love for art and culture which led them to having the most famous literary and arts festival in the world. Love for sports in wales is not something new as there is a lot of love for football and rugby. The Ryder cup when held in Wales became the third largest sporting event in the world(about Wales - sport 2013).
NORTHERN IRELAND

Northern Ireland is a part of the UK which has a population of over 1.6 million, with this population, it is the smallest country in the UK. English is the most popular language in the UK but the people in Northern Ireland also speak Irish. Also in Northern Ireland the most popular sport is rugby.(Facts about Northern Ireland 2013).
